Great features... DISAPPOINTING BATTERY LIFE

I have owned this smart lock for about 6 months. The connectivity associated with the equipment is admirable, although in the 6 months I have owned it, I have replaced the batteries 3 times... The most recent was this week. I had gone away for a few days... The Lock said there was 35-40% battery life remaining.. 2 days into my trip, our housekeeper had entered and left the house... so operating the lock twice, once to unlock and once to lock it. At that point the battery life dropped to 15% and was barely operating the lock... These batteries had been in place for about 3 months(which is reasonable but still short). My concern is the rapid drop in remaining battery life over 2 days, when it was operated just twice, an open and a close. Is this typical. For a higher end unit like this, I would expect much longer battery life. I have had a competitive unit in another property where the smart lock battery lasted well beyond a year. If had known the battery life would be this short, I would have purchased an alternate unit. That aspect of this unit is very disappointing. I am looking for alternatives, or perhaps suggestions to extend the battery life.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Game Changer Convenience

I was thrilled to receive the Halo Touchscreen door lock, free to review. For starters. It said quick and easy set up in 10 minutes. It took me 40 minutes. That being said, I have never replaced a door lock before. The instructions were also not great. But! I got it done, and am LOVING the convenience and security, thus far. I like that I can see activity on my phone, too. The noise ot makes unlocking os a tax loud. But doesn’t affect my family. If I shared a small space, it might be slightly disruptuve. Overall, I’m genuinely extremely happy with the lock. No more balancing and rustling looking for keys, or kids texting the forgot their keys! Problem solved!

Prior to installing this smart door lock, I had never tried replacing a deadbolt on a door before. I'm happy to report that it was quite a straightforward process! I like the modern look that this lock provides; it elevates my door without looking too bulky or hotel-like. The ability to unlock or lock my door remotely is super useful. As somebody who hates making more than one trip from my car to my door after a grocery store run, this has eliminated awkward key-fumbling as I try to juggle everything that's in my hands. I've also enjoyed the guest access options, especially for parents who want to drop things off when I'm not home. I plan to use the feature to let in contractors working on upcoming renovations too! I haven't noticed any connection issues, possibly due to the area having a strong signal. Overall, a great addition to my home!

Secure, Stylish, and Super Convenient

I’ve been using the Weiser Halo Touchscreen Smart Lock in Matte Black for a few weeks now, and I honestly couldn’t be happier. Installation was surprisingly straightforward and the instructions were clear. I was able to set up the lock in under an hour. It fit perfectly on my standard door and didn’t require any extra drilling or odd adjustments. The matte black finish looks sleek and modern. It adds a really polished, high-end look to the front of my house, which I didn’t realize I cared about until I saw it installed. The touchscreen is responsive, and the numbers are easy to see day or night. The real game changer, though, is the smart functionality. I love being able to lock or unlock the door from my phone . It is so handy when I’m out for a walk and forget my keys, or when I want to let a guest in while I’m still on my way home. You can also set up codes for family or friends, and track who’s coming and going through the app. I’ve found it reliable and glitch-free so far. What a great way to upgrade your home!!

Peace of mind and Super Convenient

Recently installed the Weiser Halo Touchscreen Smart Lock in matte black and it’s been a total game changer the home. The setup was easier than expected—we didn’t need to drill new holes or do anything complicated. It fit right into the existing deadbolt spot, which was a huge relief. I love that it connects to our existing Wi-Fi without needing any extra hubs or gadgets. The app is simple and intuitive to use, and being able to lock/unlock the door from my phone has already come in handy more times than I can count (especially when I forget to lock it after leaving!). The design is sleek, modern, and the matte black finish looks great on our door. Great design! Was really easy to install and I like that it connects to blue tooth. I can control it from my phone and receive notifications when it is opened and locked. I can also set an auto lock in case I forget to lock my door. Very great purchase!!

I love this lock! It's the best invention on earth!! It's very practical for someone who often forgets their keys. It's also super secure because you can change the code as many times as you want! The batteries still last a long time, so that's a big plus!! I really recommend it! Installation is super easy too

Q: I have this lock. Is there a way to turn off the Bluetooth function on the lock in order to improve the battery life? I would like to keep the Wi-Fi function on but just disable the Bluetooth function.

A: Hi Myles, The batteries can drain quicker than expected due to your lock's installation, router type and distance from the lock. Here are some steps that will help extend the battery life: 1. Remove the interior assembly of the lock and check that the cable is securely plugged in from the keypad to the interior assembly. 2. A: Hi Boy37, You can either use the physical key, the touchscreen with the Access Codes, the Kwikset App OR Auto-unlock/lock mechanisms to unlock or lock the Halo deadbolt.
