What does the November 14th, 2025 Kevo app shutdown mean to my Kevo door lock?

 

Issue Description

After operating for more than a decade, the Kevo app and web portal will no longer be available after November 14, 2025.

This will terminate remote access functionality for Kevo smart locks across the Kwikset, Baldwin, and Weiser brands.

This change is being managed by ASSA ABLOY Americas Residential Inc., which now oversees support for these products.

Locks Affected (All Generations): Kevo, Kevo Convert, Kevo Plus, Baldwin Evolved

Brands Affected: Kwikset, Weiser, Baldwin

Impact

• Users can no longer open/close or manage their door lock via the mobile app or web portal.

 

Not Impacted

• Physical Key, users will be able to unlock or lock the deadbolt with the physical key
• Key FOB, users will be able to unlock or lock the deadbolt with the Key FOB

 

Required User Action

Prepare in advance for the Kevo app shutdown.  After November 14, 2025, ensure that you have the physical key or key fob to unlock or lock the door. Also consider redeeming the unique promotional offer below and replace the Kevo deadbolt entirely.
