What Do The Different Colored Lights On The Status LED Mean?

Amber flashes mean it is locked, while green flashes mean it is unlocked, and red means low battery.

You may reset the lock by pressing the Premis Button “A” on the back panel for 20 seconds. This method will bring the lock to factory default condition but not trigger the handing process.

Is Premis Compatible With Nest, Google Home, Amazon Echo, SmartThings?

Premis is not compatible with Nest, Google Home, Amazon Echo, or SmartThings. Premis is “HomeKit” compatible intended to work with iOS devices only.

How Long Will The Battery Last?

4xAA batteries are expected to last up to a year based on 10 entries per day. However, misaligned doors where the lock faces resistance during lock/unlocking will shorten the battery life since the motor uses more power to exercise the latch. In addition, properly “handing” or calibrating the lock as outlined in the installation guide will maximize the battery life. Refer to the step 5 in the installation instructions.

Can I Set The Lock To Auto-Lock At A Certain Time?

No, but the lock can be set to auto-lock after a certain period of time after the last lock operation. This setting can be managed from within the App under lock settings.

How Well Does Premis Work With Doors That Have A Lot Of Pressure Resistance On The Lock Bolt, Like Weather Stripping?

The Premis lock is design to overcome pressure resistance on its bolt as result from weather stripping and warped door as result of climate and/or structural variations. However, it is recommended that the user fix any door warp or related problems as these problems impact the battery life.

How Many Premis Locks Can I Enroll In An Apple Device?

You can enroll an unlimited number of Premis locks in your Apple Devices

What Are The Switches Below The Program Button For?

They are not used.

How Many Apple Devices Can I Enroll With My Premis Lock?

You can enroll one Apple device with your lock, but add multiple user codes

How Do I Re-Do The Door Handing Process?

Handing can be redone by removing the battery pack, holding the program button for 10 seconds then reinserting the battery pack and then pressing the program button again
